multiple myeloma
In the past year, both my dad and I have been through a lot, but we are determined to keep going and make sure this problem is gone for good. We won't give up until it's gone.
Crab stands for four medical conditions: hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood), renal failure (kidney failure), anemia (low levels of red blood cells), and bone lesions (abnormal changes in the bones).
My late mother had a disease that she couldn't understand. It caused her to have rheumatic pains, numbness in her lips, and shortness of breath. She needed an oxygen machine to help her breathe and her muscles and bones started to melt away. She had to go through high-dose chemotherapy and spent a lot of time in the hospital. She had to do endless radiographs and blood tests, and she was in a lot of pain. She also had anemia and was very nauseous. It felt like it would never end, and eventually it took her life.
