If you are travelling from Paris to Brussels, London, or Amsterdam, you should go to Paris Nord station. Thalys trains usually run on these routes. It is close to Gare d'Est, but it closes after 12 pm and reopens after 6 am, so make sure you plan your journey accordingly.
