The movie, directed by Tinto Brass, is about the shocking and disturbing sexual behavior of people during that time period. It was made in the name of Bob Guccione, the editor of Penthouse magazine.
The movie was a success and the portrayal of the emperor, who may have been made out to be more cruel than he actually was, was done very well. The movie also had a classy side to it that was not too explicit. Not many people know about this movie, so I'm trying to spread the word about it.
I believe this movie is not about sex or pornography, but rather a movie set in a historical time period. The main difference is that most of the actors are mostly naked throughout the movie and there are some violent scenes that may be too intense for some viewers.
