If this was a Hollywood movie, the story would be told through the dialogue and the visuals would be ignored. Unfortunately, it's just a regular production. My favorite part of the movie was the scene where a deer asked "Why did you get into this job? How did you start this job?".
This movie has a great story and the actors did a great job. The only downside is that it looks like it was made with a small budget. It's a shame that people have to watch movies that are just visuals of Istanbul and don't have any dialogue to be considered art. If I can find the DVD, I will buy it.
This movie is good overall, but there are some issues. Some of the conversations don't sound realistic, some of the side stories take too long and take away from the main story, and the pace of the movie slows down in the middle. On the plus side, the story is simple and beautiful, the actors do a great job, the narration is straightforward, the climax is very impressive, and the ending is great. Plus, it has a clear message of standing up for those who have been treated unfairly. I think we can expect even better movies from Rasit Çelikezer in the future.
The movie was really good, except for the ending. It was impossible not to watch Ismail Hac?oglu and me when there was lightning. SPOILER ALERT: At the end, they pour concrete over a dead body to repair the roof. They then have a good breakfast, but it doesn't seem right. The concrete will probably collapse in a few months with the rotting meat inside. I just couldn't accept the ending. Even though the ending was bad, the movie was still good. It was sponsored by Little Big, which you can tell from the t-shirts and jeans everyone wears in the movie.
